A user on our mobile app asked,

"I was brought to repentance over two years ago and then I was baptized. After that I started having horrible nightmares and then just mean thoughts [about] God because I was confused and started to act out against Him. I know I was wrong in these things. What if you've said you were sorry to God and at times you didn't really feel like you had a 'broken and contrite spirit' over it? Is that still repentance? I just don't understand why I felt so alive when I repented and was baptized and now I just feel… well, spiritually disconnected from God and almost as if I'm spiritually dead. I just feel as if I'm in wrong standing with God and don't know how to repent like I did the first time again. I hope this makes sense and that maybe someone can offer me help and advice… Thank you.”
