Is happiness possible?

No matter how desperate we are to control what happens around us, the truth is that our daily circumstances are often beyond our control. We can't anticipate a future lay-off or when an illness will strike. We never know when the next bit of bad news will come our way.

Political instability, crumbling economic systems, and rumors of war leave many believers overcome with anxiety about the future and searching for answers. And if we've made the mistake of relying on our circumstances to bring us happiness, we'll most certainly come up short. So, where does this leave us? Are we stuck feeling hopeless, helpless, and unhappy?
