Overview
Telling the Truth is an international radio and online media ministry, headquartered in Brookfield, WI. We broadcast on almost 500 stations the teaching of two uniquely-gifted communicators, Stuart and Jill Briscoe—and their guests. Our goal is to help people know Christ and experience Life in all its fullness.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Regional Donor Relations, builds relationships that are strategic to charitably funding Telling the Truth. This individual is responsible for managing a portfolio of select donors and maintaining substantive contact with each person. This position requires a person of integrity, who has strong communication and interpersonal skills, and is diligent in follow-through. This individual works to also identify, engage, and build strategic new relationships.

Position Responsibilities

Develop and advance existing strategic relationships in charitable funding

Identify and engage individuals who could become future major donors

Create a development plan for each individual in the portfolio

Diligently follow the plan to strengthen and deepen relationships

Present appropriate giving opportunities, ask for participation, and gain closure

Report back to donors thanking them and telling them about how their giving is making a difference

Share stories about how God is using the ministry to change lives

Meet and collaborate with the Donor Relations team for planning, quality, and unity

Actively participate with the Donor Relations team in donor-related gatherings

Maintain updated donor files and keep timely, accurate notes and records

Contribute to the collaborative culture and unity of the team, Executive Director, and Board of Directors

Additional assignments, duties, and details as assigned by the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
Professional Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience, preferably in a similar role

A vision and understanding of stewardship in advancing God’s kingdom
-
Ability to ask for and secure leadership-level gifts

Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Goal oriented, a can-do attitude, and a collaborative spirit

Organizational skills and experience with Microsoft Office

Willingness and ability to keep updated records and generate reports that reflect performance

Team player with a flexible personality, has a positive influence on the team, and a spirit of unity

Work Environment
Due to the strategic team nature of the role, this position works both on-site in the Brookfield office and remote when meeting with donors. Limited travel may be necessary on occasion.
