A frequent phrase teenagers use is, "Everyone else is doing it." It's also a key reason adults give to justify bad behavior. And it's true - lots of people ARE doing things in direct opposition to God's Word and feel no remorse about it. So how do believers live in such a troubled world, where wars rage, morals are in decline, and the modern culture celebrates evil as acceptable?
One way is to study the story of Jeremiah. He was a prophet who lived in a dark time and was called by God to be an alternative voice to his culture. During his life, the Israelites had turned away from God and embraced rituals, gods, and beliefs that were shocking, even by today's standards. And yet, as horrible as it was, God wanted His people back, and through Jeremiah, He urged them to repent! It's an amazing testament to God's constant love and His never-ending desire for a relationship with us.
As Stuart explains in this five-message study, God still seeks His people today, but instead of sending a prophet, He leaves that job to believers - to His church. Stuart teaches how God uses rebellious people and evil circumstances to accomplish His purposes – and how He wants to use you, too.
