The Gospel writers were eager to speak about the humanity of Jesus as well as His deity. So they not only told the story of His miraculous birth, but also recounted moments from His childhood, adolescence, and the silent years before He burst onto the scene at His baptism.
Though His first three decades are not covered in great detail, we are given enough information to understand something of His remarkable growing years. We can glean lessons from them that will inform our parenting, strengthen us in the silent times of life, and give us a model of what a godly youngster can look like.
