Love One Another

Pete Briscoe

Do you ever feel like you're just too busy to be involved in the lives of others? Sometimes it's easier to simply blend in with the crowd than to stand out and become engaged with the people around us. But Jesus said, "Love one another as I have loved you" (John 15:12). If believers loved, led, supported, served, and encouraged one another like Jesus did, people would take notice and begin to understand the love of Jesus!

This series from Pete on fellowship looks at specific ways Jesus displayed His love to others. It challenges us to examine our own lives to see if we are loving others the way He has commanded.

Messages From This Series:

  1. 1. We Will Love One Another

    Pete Briscoe

Jesus' love is a unique and amazing love that He would like us to have and share with others. He tells us that if we show this special kind of love, people will be convinced that we are disciples' of Christ.

In this message, Pete uses the story of the man with leprosy to demonstrate how Jesus' love is distinct in three different ways so we can impact others with His love.

    Scripture:  John 13:34

  2. 3. We Will Live with One Another

    Pete Briscoe

Have you ever heard it said, "You can choose your friends, but not your family"? This is also true of your church family—you're stuck with them. If you're going to "live" together with fellow believers, then everyone is going to need to "give" a little.

In this message, Pete shares with us four major areas where we all can give, so we can live together in God's unity and love.

    Scripture:  Romans 12:16

  3. 5. We Will Lay Down for One Another

    Pete Briscoe

Many of us have heard the story of Jesus humbly washing the feet of His disciples in order to demonstrate a servant attitude. A servant attitude is what God desires for us. But it's not something that comes naturally—we have to learn it.

In this message, Pete describes four "garments" we need to lay down so God can clothe us with an attitude of service.

    Scripture:  Galatians 5:13

  4. 6. We Will Limp with One Another

    Pete Briscoe

What do you do when you have a burden in your life? Maybe you have a rebellious teenager, or you're mourning a death in your life and you just don't know how to get through it. Or maybe you're not suffering, but someone close to you is, and you don't know how to help.

In this message, Pete gives us seven things to remember when carrying a burden that will help us get through those difficult times.

    Scripture:  Galatians 6:2

  5. 7. We Will Look Out for One Another

    Pete Briscoe

When a person gets sick with a cold or the flu, it starts with one little germ that invades their body and takes it over. In the same way, one person can bring sin into a church, and it can infiltrate the entire body. So, it's our job as members to deal with that sin and prevent damage to other believers.

In this message, Pete explains how we can work with one another to prevent sin from happening and learn how to forgive one another when it does.

    Scripture:  Colossians 3:15
