Healing Broken Relationships

Stuart, Jill, and Pete Briscoe

Living well can be a daily struggle when we experience difficulties in our relationships. Most of us are more than familiar with the pain of a broken friendship or distant family member. Others struggle because their relationships are superficial and just aren't living up to their potential. Or, maybe you only cling to those in your inner circle and never venture outside those lines to develop relationships with people different than you.

Either way, these situations can present voids in our lives. Why? Because God designed us to be in relationship with Him and with others. So where are we going wrong in our relationships? How do we experience the deepest, most life-giving, and loving relationship with God and with others?

This encouraging series from Stuart, Jill, and Pete Briscoe teaches that we don't have to settle for less in any of our relationships. Healing Broken Relationships is a deep study into why we struggle with our relationships and how we can make them the best they can be.

Messages From This Series:

  1. 1. God's Plan for Reconciliation

    Stuart Briscoe

Too often we focus on issues that divide us as a people instead of the things that unify us. And when that happens, there's the potential to stay within your collective group of like-minded people and treat others differently, maybe even judgmentally. How do you keep yourself from a judgmental worldview so that you can see people as God sees them—precious and in need of a Savior?

In this message, Stuart Briscoe examines how the apostle Paul addresses issues that divide people. There's only one true way to overcoming what divides us, and if we embrace it, the effects can be revolutionary.

    Scripture:  Ephesians 2

  2. 2. How to Repair Relationships

    Stuart Briscoe

Many of us struggle to live well when we experience difficulties in our relationships. We might even live in a state of denial—shrugging our shoulders and denying individual responsibility. How do we overcome the urge to ignore tough situations?

In this message, Stuart Briscoe encourages us to repair our relationships and takes us to the story of Joseph to learn how to heal them.

    Scripture:  Genesis 44

  3. 3. Your Need for Friendship

    Jill Briscoe

You probably don't need to be convinced about how important it is to share life with others. To be friendless in a friendless world is a frightening thing. But have you ever struggled to develop meaningful and precious friendships?

In this message, Jill Briscoe teaches us about being vulnerable in our relationships and how friendship can deeply impact our lives.

    Scripture:  Ecclesiastes 4

  4. 4. Fixing a Broken Marriage

    Pete Briscoe

Oftentimes, we blame our spouse for the problems in our marriages and then set out trying to change them. However, it's God's job to fix our spouses, not ours. And, if we're really honest, He probably needs to fix us, too.

In this message, Pete Briscoe teaches on how to repair our less than perfect marriages. Surprisingly, it has more to do with us individually than with our spouses!

    Scripture:  1 Thessalonians

  5. 5. Paul Speaks on Relationships

    Pete Briscoe

Do you want deep, authentic relationships with people? If you do, perhaps a paradigm shift needs to happen in your thinking. The world tells us to make a name for ourselves and to do it at whatever the cost. The problem is along the way we step on others and damage relationships.

In this message, Pete Briscoe shows us how to think counter-culturally so that we can experience deep and meaningful relationships with others.

    Scripture:  Philippians 2

  6. 6. Fight for the Family

    Jill Briscoe

Families have been under attack from the beginning of time, and they are under attack today. The devil, who hates families with complete disdain, works overtime to tear down every wall we rebuild. How do we overcome his opposition when we're exhausted from the constant patch work?

In this message, Jill Briscoe teaches from the book of Nehemiah on where to draw strength for rebuilding our family relationships.
