Jill Briscoe Biography
Jill Briscoe was born in Liverpool England in 1935. Educated at Cambridge she taught school for a number of years before marrying Stuart and raising their three children. In addition to sharing with her husband in ministry with the Torchbearers and in pastoring a church in the United Sates for thirty years, Jill has written more than forty books, traveled on every continent teaching and encouraging, served on the boards of Christianity Today and World Relief and now acts as Executive Editor of a magazine for women called Just Between Us. Jill can be heard regularly on the worldwide media ministry called Telling the Truth
. She is proud to be called “Nana” by thirteen grandchildren.
Jill and Stuart met each other in the context of youth ministry 60 years ago when he was a bank examiner and she was a school teacher. They married and based their life together on the biblical verse, “As for me and my household we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24: 15). Individually and together they have written scores of books, pastored a church in the United States for thirty years, founded the media ministry called Telling the Truth
that broadcasts daily worldwide. Now in their eighties they continue to talk to anyone who will listen! They have three children and thirteen grandchildren.
Jill and Stuart call suburban Milwaukee, Wisconsin their home. When they are not traveling, they spend time with their three children, David, Judy and Pete, and thirteen grandchildren.
